I finished the smock I wanted to make for V this morning. The idea and pattern came out of the book Bend-the-Rules Sewing.

I really like this idea of a smock because V cannot tolerate bibs or napkins or anything around her neck. This is more of a backward shirt I can slip on her easily for when she’s having tomato pasta for lunch.

And, since we like to do some much baking, this is a good apron as well. It will probably be good for arts and crafts too.

It was very easy to construct. It was all one single piece to cut out with only the shoulders to sew the seem. The bias tape was the most time consuming.
